Blessing Karami, a 26-year-old woman who had been reported missing, was tragically discovered deceased. She was a student at the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) and had disappeared after leaving her workplace in Garki, Abuja, on September 11, 2023.
Her elder brother, Genesis Moses Karami, had come from Kaduna to lead the search and, unfortunately, found her decomposing body in the Karmo district of the Federal Capital Territory.
Aminu, the deceased's boyfriend, had been arrested by the police for questioning in connection with her disappearance. Genesis Karami received a mysterious call about his sister's body, but it turned out to be false after further inquiry.
Despite multiple attempts to contact the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Karami and a group of policemen visited the Karmo police station. However, the caller continued to mislead them by changing locations, leading to their eventual departure.
On September 20, Karami confirmed to the media that his sister had indeed passed away. Her decomposed body was found in the Karmo bush, and due to its condition, they needed environmental personnel to assist with removal and on-site burial.
Following the tragic discovery of Blessing Karami's lifeless body, friends, family, and acquaintances have expressed their grief on social media.
